Lakeland Laboratories invests in storage vessels & heating cabinets to increase capacity

With an eye on growth and the continued delivery of exceptional service to our client base throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide, Lakeland Laboratories has invested in additional kit for our speciality chemicals manufacturing plant in Greater Manchester.

Installation of new speciality chemicals storage at our Greater Manchester manufacturing site

New storage vessels have now been installed on site, offering a generous 25T of additional storage capacity for our team which enables us to handle greater production and storage volumes of both raw materials and finished product awaiting transportation. 

Our steel chemical storage tanks will support our on-site surfactant manufacture, offering tough, hard-wearing storage that will withstand the Greater Manchester weather whilst remaining resistant to corrosion and impact from the chemicals stored within each tank. Designed to be leak proof, storage vessels have been safely situated in a concrete-reinforced bund for additional protection.

Upgraded heating cabinets support Lakeland's speciality chemicals manufacturing processes

Lakeland has further invested in new drum heating cabinet capacity, supplied by a leading manufacturer and constructed to the highest ISO-certified standards.

Heating cabinets allow us to, depending on the processes underway, maintain materials at constant temperatures or otherwise heat them to alter viscosity during processing. Cabinets remove the need for equipment such as heating bands or belts, which tend to be more suited to smaller operations, and are fitted with up-to-the-minute technologies to keep temperatures accurate and efficient, protecting drums and their contents whilst complementing the demands of our manufacturing.
